Big Change

So I wanted to do something really creative to announce on here that Ryan got the job, but that didn't end up happening. I will do my best to give you the details about the job and what we are going to be doing in the upcoming weeks.

As stated before: RYAN GOT THE JOB!!!! It is with corporate Wal-Mart in North Western Arkansas. The job is in the Merchant Leadership Program. He will be doing things like forecasting, budgeting and planning. He will be working in Hard lines, which is departments like sporting goods, automotive and seasonal. (My brothers have been joking with me that Ryan will be a checker and a bagger and I tell them that he will be doing something much more respectable...he's going to bring in the shopping carts from the parking lot. Jeez! Kidding.)

Ryan graduates at the end of this month on the 23rd. The plan right now is to pack up and be out of here by the 27th. Ryan's parents own the townhouse and they are going to be coming out here to live for a couple of months, after that they want to rent out the townhouse (so if you or anyone you know would be interested in renting, let us know!). We will move most of our stuff down to Arkansas and put it into a storage shed and then we will make our way up to Illinois where we will live in Ryan's parents' house for about a month and a half. We will be living there to help them with getting their house ready to sell. We plan on getting to Arkansas in the middle of September so that we can get somewhat settled before Ryan goes to work.

We are very excited about this big change coming up. We have been so blessed! I don't say lucky because I really don't think that it is luck. Ryan didn't get this job because of luck. He got it because he is extremely qualified and he has been working so hard these past three years (How great is that? He's graduating in three years!) just to be prepared for something like this! I am so proud of him and I know that he is going to be great at his new job! He has worked (some full-time and some part-time) the whole time that he has been in school. He has also been a counselor in the bishopric for the past 2 1/2 years. (He just got released yesterday). It is a bittersweet time for us. Rexburg was our first home and it's where we had Harper and where we made our first friends as a married couple. I plan on making a post later about the things we will miss (and not miss) about Rexburg. So be looking for that.

We want to thank everyone for all of your prayers and thoughts and help on our behalf the past couple of months. We know that it is because of those prayers that we are so blessed. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Abby I'm so happy for your family. This is going to be the next exciting chapter in your lives. I'll admit, I'm a little jealous and sad because I'm going to miss you like crazy. That's my least favorite thing about Rexburg, friends moving on and leaving.

You guys are so great, you know that? It has been really neat to watch Harper grow up in the ward! Best of luck with moving and with life in Arkansas!
