What's in a name?

So, Ryan and I are working on names for our little bundle of joy. It is a lot harder than I thought. We are pretty sure what we want her first name to be (we're going to have it be a surprise) and we're working on middle names. Anyway, we were discussing some options last night and things were getting pretty ugly. Not us, the names. Say, for example, we wanted her first name to be Sally. We were getting so desperate last night that the most outrageous middle names were suggested. Three of the name options that were mentioned were: Sally Triceratops Bell, Sally Kool-Aid Bell, and Sally Satellite Bell. Please understand that we would never give our child a name like that, but we were getting to the point where we would just say anything and see if it sounded good. It's a good thing we still have a few months....

HA! That is so funny Abby. Brooks and I are in that same boat! Names are hard. We don't even have a set first name yet. She will probably just be "Baby A" for about a week.

Abby, this is your cousin, Meagan, speaking and I will give you some advice about baby names. We decided our baby's name waaay before she was born and when people asked if we decided on a name, we told them and I will just tell you that it became the most annoying thing in the world to do. Don't ask me why, it just was. So my advice to you is to just keep it to yourself because it will save you a lot of trouble. Oh, and CONGRATULATIONS! I think it's wonderful that you're pregnant and little girls are the best. You'll love it.

Naming is soooo stressful!!! I hope you don't name your baby the same name we like! You don't like Bob or Earl do you? I'll fight you for those!!

Ok, so that post made me laugh. Sorry about not making your shower... I was still in the hospital. :) I do have a little something for the baby, I'll have to stop it by sometime.
